Whistler chapter begins
Let me start by saying that Vancouver was great, we even had one good week of good weather which says a lot considering it rains 6 months out of the year in Vancouver, just to be optimistic, people in the city call it ‘liquid sunshine’, no joke. I’ve taken loads of pictures so be sure to check out the gallery. There are so many things to do that we could have stayed there longer but we had to move onto the next chapter in our adventure. The Whistler chapter begins :D
Whistler is like nothing I have ever seen before. I tend to prefer the rural areas, cities or if it’s sunny definitely beaches but the mountaines areas are slowly creeping up my favourite list.
We arrived last friday on the 29th, we checked-in into our accomodation, managed to get a lift back from one of the guys in the check-in office and we started to unpack. We’ve been told that 2 guys are going to be living with us but we dont know who they are yet as they still havent arrived. The flat is really nice, better than we thought to be fair but the village is expensive, I guess they need to take advantage of tourists lol.
Highlights/comments so far:
- Halloween party
- No snow yet but we see it creeping down the mountain
- The light system in the flat is a bit weird as the bedrooms don’t have lights on the ceiling
- Whistler Village is easy to navigate and learn
- Food is expensive
- People are super friendly
- I’ve started my job training and so far it’s been good, ‘Guest Relations’ has a great team
- Carrying a crate of 24 Coronas back to our flat is not a good idea
- Drinking Coronas is nice :D
Much more to come this week and i’ll try and get some nice pictures around the village now that i know where i’m going.
Anton
