Whistler chapter begins
Let me start by saying that Vancouver was great, we even had one good week of good weather which says a lot considering it rains 6 months out of the year in Vancouver, just to be optimistic, people in the city call it ‘liquid sunshine’, no joke. I’ve taken loads of pictures so be sure to check out the gallery. There are so many things to do that we could have stayed there longer but we had to move onto the next chapter in our adventure. The Whistler chapter begins :D
PNE Halloween Fright Night
Better late than never :) – Here are some videos of a Halloween event that we went to at the PNE in Vancouver.
The theme park had been transformed into a scary clown style fright night. The reconstruction of the park was great and they even had people/characters walking around scaring people and following them. There were also plenty of scary houses and passages that would remove the hair from your body and I found that I had to keep looking behind me 10 seconds to make sure no one was there.

The funniest weirdest thing happened today
In the next couple of days I will post a round up of everything that we have done in Vancouver – like I’ve said in a previous post, this city is great and it seems to capture everything in terms of atmosphere, food, culture, style, houses etc.
Anyway, today something happened stumped both Katie and myself. Read more…
A great start in Vancouver
After a tiring trip over we have now started to settle in a little bit thanks to Vancouver SWAP and a guy called Eric that has taken us on a great tour. Too much has already happened so I wont go into great detail but this is what we have been have been up to these past few days.
We’ve made it to Vancouver
Well… we are finally here and so far so good. How we made it here, well that’s a different story.
Insurance you say?
Having recently had to look into insurance policies for my trip, after days of searching, I’ve come to the conclusion that they are all pretty much the same, no joke. Obviously there are good insurance packages and bad ones but once you differentiate between the two, you realise that there is very little difference between them, it all comes down to the small print. The plan for Canada
With less than two weeks to go things are starting to get pretty surreal, everything about my day to day is going to be changing for something new that I don’t know much about.
Luckily, everything is pretty much sorted now, the flights, the insurance (which i’ll be telling you more about on a sepereate post), my lugagge etc. So now I have some time to really wind down before the big move and think about what is going to be happening there. Read more…
Show me some video
The latest addition to the bag that i’m taking to Canada is the Kodak Playsport Waterproof HD Pocket Video Camera with a Transcend 8GB SDHC Class 10 Memory Card. So far, I’m quite pleased with my purchase, it’s light, records in HD and it’s supposed to go under water as well but I havent had it that long so I wont write a full on review.
Anyway, here is a test video. The camera is on a tripod so my head is kind of chopped off, however, the quality and sound seem good.

An envelope on my bed
Today I got back from visiting Katie. It was a great weekend but unfortunately the journey back was a nightmare. On a good day it takes two hours and half to travel back home but today, it took 5 hours, what a mess. I took a train, a bus, a tube, I even walked in the rain at one stage.
When I finally got home (thanks dad for picking me up from the station), I found a small envelope on my bed. I opened it and low and behold, there it was, my actual visa for Canada, YIPPEE!!
